As the Jasper Centre celebrates its 30th Anniversary, we invite you to participate in a unique programme. In an effort to raise $20,000 for critical masonry work to the northwest corner of the building and the replacement of the entrance canopy, the Board has organized the 100PLUS CLUB. Although this initiative focuses on two of the most critical areas, the total estimate for ALL THE MASONRY WORK is roughly $260,000– a daunting responsibility for a volunteer board which relies solely on public donations, fund-raising and the ever-diminishing government grant programmes. We will not even discuss the operational costs of the building!!
Therefore as the Board investigates potential grants and other sources of funding for the overall project, you can assist with the most immediate need by joining the 100PLUS CLUB for 2018. A donation of $100 or more will assist in reaching our goal. A list of participants in this programme will be posted at the entrance to the Centre and updated monthly. Contributions greater than $100 will be recognized by the amount given in brackets beside the name of the donor – some have already been received. A charitable tax receipt will be issued for each donation. Any additional monies raised over and above our goal, will be placed in an account and used for ongoing capital projects to the building and to match grants in this regard.
In our effort to reach as many interested donors as possible, we realize we may inadvertently approach individuals who have generously donated to one of our other programmes for 2018 or we may duplicate our appeal through various media options i.e. Facebook, email, regular mail etc.; if so we apologize but encourage you to pass this appeal to others we may have missed. All cheques can be made to “Jasper Cultural & Historical Centre”, Box 1504 Maple Creek, SK, S0N 1N0.
We trust you will support our appeal and look forward to having you as a member of our exclusive building preservation club.
The next phase of brick work is underway now!!
